asked questions
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH DR. BRUTUS
Are Dr. Brutus’ services covered by the RAMQ?
Dr. Brutus’ practice is completely private, so none of his services are covered by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ). Some employers or private insurers will agree to cover some of the cost. Patients themselves are responsible for completing all formalities with these third-party payers.
How long do I have to wait for an appointment with Dr. Brutus?
We do everything we possibly can to get you an appointment within seven to 14 days of your call.
Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?
Bring your medical history and any imaging tests or reports with you.
What should I expect during my appointment?
When you arrive, you’ll first meet with a nurse for a basic evaluation. Afterwards, you’ll meet with Dr. Brutus, who will complete your exam and diagnosis. We’ll take ample time to explain the proposed treatment plan and answer your questions.
Will I need any other tests?
Dr. Brutus uses a variety of diagnostic maneuvers during these consultations. In some cases, he might request that you do other imagery tests to supplement the exam.
Is surgery always necessary?
Most of Dr. Brutus’ patients need surgery. They’ve usually already tried conservative treatment and were referred by their doctor or hand therapist.
Is my personal information protected?
Dr. Jean-Paul Brutus, responsible for the protection of personal information at Clinique Exception MD, attaches great importance to the confidentiality of your data. If you have any questions, feel free to write to him or contact a member of our team at info@drbrutus.com.
